The Trees:

Teak trees large deciduous trees, native to Southeast Asia. Though relatively fast growing, some species are now endangered due to over harvesting.

 

 

 

 

The Wood:

Teak is a dense, straight grained wood with a coarse texture, and usually a uniform brown or yellowish gray in color. Its natural rot resistance makes it ideal for use in outdoor furniture, boat building and decking.
