Artist Biography
Brad is a studio woodturner, woodturning demonstrator and teacher from East Stroudsburg, in the heart of N.E. Pennsylvania's scenic Pocono Mountains. Well versed in all aspects of woodturning, he focuses on environmentally friendly artistic and functional woodturnings along with antique restorations and light architectural turnings. He takes special delight in crafting multi-axis lidded boxes, cremation urns, contemporary and 18th Century reproduction candlesticks, as well as his “Olde Tyme” series pepper mills and coffee grinders. To the greatest extent practical, his work is made from local trees lost to storms, removed for construction, or destined for the woodpile. Passionate about preserving our environment, Brad uses eco-friendly finishes exclusively.
Brad is a member of the American Association of Woodturners, the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, the Pocono Arts Council, and the Lehigh Valley Woodturners. |
