Artist Biography

I have been a largely self taught, full time woodworker for thirty eight years. Early on I had the opportunity of working with David Yonkers, one of the most creative woodworkers I've ever met, and he inspired me to make working with wood an art form. During the span of my career I have built everything from kitchens to pipe organ cases to Rolls Royce interiors. My focus now is on building creative furniture with distinctive, yet timeless designs.

I feel that our environment has a profound effect on our souls. Furniture that is beautifully made allows us to relax and live more fully in our homes and work spaces. I draw on the influences of ancient architecture, as well as the modern Arts and Crafts movement to create fresh, contemporary furniture designs.
