Artist Biography

Spencer Horn grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He transplanted to the Northwest after college and has been making custom furniture in Seattle, Washington for over 30 years. He studied under woodworking luminaries including Tage Frid and Sam Maloof at the Penland School of Crafts, and has a degree in product design from North Carolina State University. He works almost exclusively in solid wood an his designs are tradition based with contemporary influences.
